Black History Month - A Musical tribute to Paul Robeson | Friday 24th October | 8.00pm - 10.00pm
Celebrate Black History Month with us with a special tribute to Paul Robeson - singing his songs is our local baritone Paul Newman accompanied by a special guest from the world of cinematic music scores!
Paul Robeson (1898–1976) was an American singer, actor, and civil rights activist celebrated for his rich bass voice and commanding stage presence. A former All-American athlete and lawyer, he gained global fame for roles in Othello and Show Boat before dedicating his life to fighting racism, colonialism, and injustice. Despite being blacklisted during the McCarthy era, Robeson remains a powerful symbol of artistic excellence and social courage.
Not to be missed. A Rare treat!
